Our adventure is closing in on the end...

Dec. 7th, Friday:

Called and left a msg. regarding the return of our forms; criminal checks, medicals etc.. The request for them was sent to this person on Monday.

Tara's relatives are coming home for the weekend. The Christmas tree is up and there are no presents peeking out from under it so we'll go shopping tomorrow and begin the holiday shopping. Tara loves shopping so it'll be a good day! A two and a half hour drive to the city each way is the only bummer.

Dec. 10th, Monday - Our forms arrived today.

Dec. 11th, Tuesday -

Paul made three copies of EVERYTHING this morning. The homestudy, all the forms which arrived yesterday, birth certificates, marriage certificate etc...

He delivered them to the lawyer for notarization. She wasn't sure what the exact wording had to be for the certificate(cover letter). She contacted a college who stated it has to be specific and that instructions are generally provided. Tara called the Provincial coordinator, she is SUPER! She is out of the office this week but returned the call within half an hour. Where she is out of the office, she doesn't have the exact wording which is needed and advise Tara to call our social worker as she should have a copy of one for China. The social worker isn't sure exactly what it is but will do some digging through her files and get back to us.

We were going to have Tara's Mom pick up our financial statement from the Bank for the Immigration Sponsorship but that lady was out in meetings as well today. We will have Deb pick it up tomorrow. We are still waiting on the TD Bank to send a missing statement of Tara's. It will state her income which is also needed for the Imm. Sponsorship.

Our goal is to have everything completed and sent off by Friday. The homestudy and papers notarized and on the Provincial coordinators desk and the Imm. Sponsorship mailed. Tara say's that this to be done and the waiting started by Christmas, that's the goal :o)

Dec. 12th, Wed. -

YAHHOOOOOO! The dossier has been completed and sent back to Fredericton today!!! So, now the province sends the dossier to the agency and we are entered into the pool of waiting potential parents. We are soooo happy and excited that this is completed.
