This week, May 30th the social worker called saying she had two files to be processed next and one was ours. Since we are in this grey, no mans land area, she wasn't sure where to send our file to. Right, another brickwall I thought. She said she would do some calling around and see if she could find someone closer than St John(4 1/2 hr. away!). We were to expect to hear something back within a couple days. Good ole confident Tara thought, "sure, we'll see where that goes". God has been good and I ate those words. Within an hr, she called back. And with good news! It just so happened that a lady (1hr. away) was finishing with the department that very wk. She would be willing to do the homestudy and would be working in our area! How about that. It was finally coming together.
We had been praying for direction as to what step to take next is the effort to have more children. The fertility med. Tara was on had run it's course so she would have to try and see a specialist and see what the next course of action would be in the world of fertiity drugs. Tara asked for a sign and man, did we receive one. It's incredible that God used this social worker of all people. Tara had a major difference wit the provincial worker the yr. before which ended with us being told that it would make it as difficult for us as she could if we did not adopt from the province.
We are to be contacted next wk.(June 4th- 9th) by the worker who will be doing the homestudy!
We had to know the country we wanted to adopt from by next week so this week has been nuts! Researching countries and programs, looking for referrals or recommendations, trying to find others in NB who have been there, done that and not get caught up in it all. As long as every department agrees, we will be working with a Quebec agency once the homestudy is done(within 2 months) to adopt from Cambodia! We will post the progress and journal our adventure.
May 30th -
Called an organization in Quebec(Montreal) again (Formons Une Famille). She was suppose to call me back. Anxious or what, eh! Everything went great, I was impressed and requested the info. be sent to us so we could work with them upon completion of the homestudy.
